Portsmouth beach Yes or no?

hey guys, i just found out that Portsmouth beach is owned by the crown state, is not far from me, it looks a decent place to go metal detecting... what u guys think?

I live in Portsmouth and have only found modern coins on the beach at Southsea, try Hayling Island and West Wittering after a storm.

Yes Defo, never detected this beach myself but I used to go there on business early sat mornings..Got talking to an old boy called Bob always saw him around 5.30am on the beach near the hovercraft area..When I gained his confidence he said he reckons he was doing around £1400 a year in loose change from these beaches...His findings were also confirmed by others that new him...Not seen him for just over a year now, hope he's not passed on nice guy...

Give it a go, you just have to put the time in..Have a look at the beaches when they are busy with people & take note of the area's with people activity...Don't be put of by others who might want the beach for themselves...Do your own research & go for it, just put the time in...
