Utube Deus 3.1 up against 2.0

Post by Henrikras »

Hey Guys. :-c
Made this video to hear and see the different 3.1 / 2.0 - You can do some fast forward and rewind in the video, first; not to wait while I'm Downgrade til 2,0 - and second to compair the 3.1 / 2.0 the best way ( find the spot GMP 3.1 start and the GMP 2.0 and swich ).
I dosn't feel the 3.1 gave me advance in the field, now after the Video I really can see that in Deus fast, the old 2.0 is much better, is more difficult to deside in GMPower. Is the Sound more smooth in 2.0 ? And isn't the ID more stabile in 2.0 ??? And the miniralization level ! In 2.0 its seem to reset faster???

Henrik.

Thanks Henrik.. 2.0 seems to be very clear in sound and ID..
For the next viewer after 3.1 ends go to 4:50 to watch 2.0
Thanks for taking the time to do this test.. You need an extra DEUS to make these test movies..

Thanks John. Some day you must learn me your favorite Deus No Motion disc. program....
If somebody can't find the old 2.0 ! Ist at the same place as 3.1. - at that second you put in the mini USB plug, the "Update 3.1" comes up. Click at the little arrow and "Update 2.0" will Be shown.

A very interesting video. Thank you for that! ::g

I too need to do some tests to get a feel for how the new v3.1 download sounds with true targets, and compared to v2.0.

v2.0 was fine for me so the assumption is that 3.1 will be an improvement, however the tests you have done suggest further investigations are definitely worthwhile! x;

The only observation I would make about your video is that it would have been nice to see the control unit boot up, to see which version of software was being used, and ideally also show that the 'default' GMP and Fast programs were being used. There will sadly always be those who will be suspicious of your tests. I found them very interesting however. Thanks again. ::g

If its not broke why fix it x;

however just last week I took mine down to my local beach for a short one hour session and found it to be very stable in the wet sand without having to adjust it in any way
Yes was the same for me, just set beach mode programs 7 and manual set as default and all worked surprisingly well far better than V2 regarding beach detecting that is ::g B-)

Cheers

The trend seems to be that those who haven't had their deus long (or have, but just not used it much), are liking 3.1, and those who have had the deus for a while aren't liking it, where it feels like you have to re-learn the machine (as mentioned above).

I've yet to see anyone who has had their deus for what I would consider to be a reasonable time to get to 'know' the machine (let's say 6 months+ of regular detecting, or 2 months non-stop detecting for arguments sake) say they are happier with 3.1.

I'm sure with enough practise 3.1 may feel 'better', but it all just comes down to whether or not that extra learning time is worth it to you personally or not.

Maybee or should we say properly.... ;;) XP and Alain still are working at the 3.1..!!
If they had count how many uploads to where 3.1 and now after so short time, how many there is going back to 2.0, the big 3.1 smile properly is disappeared. Come on XP - take the good parts of 3.1 and put them in the the good old deep/sharp 2.0.. ::g And don't do stupid things like new Deus owners can't go back to the 2.0 / your sales will drop down. ;;z

Thanks Henrikas. The jury is back in and I've gone back to version 2 and I am happy about it. With the peak detecting season encroaching I feel I would prefer to be armed with something I know. I may have a look at it ver the winter season when I have a little less to do.
Cheers all
