The `Storm` Wind On 28th October....
Managed to avoid any damage from the winds though it took some time for the wifi to be restored. Took a trip down to the beach dodging a couple of fallen trees to find that the sand had hardly moved. The winds were a strong due West ,the sea choppy rather than very rough - actually the strong NE winds on 10th October had more effect on the sand here. After a 4 hour search I managed around 70 coins - mostly badly corroded coppers, all being decimals apart from two French 2 eurocents.Only saw one other detectorist there, still,it was an interesting experence!

That's a busy old session.....nice one
I'd love a go like that at the moment, beaches our way are poor at the minute, but lets hope decent winter and storms shine favourably on us all this year

Hi Mega, yup that was Clacton,I thought it best to keep to the main road while the wind was raging.BTW how did you get on a while back?I seem to recall that you were going to check out the area near the Gunfleet Sailing Club?At the moment there`s nothing much happening on the beaches here so I`m concentrating on the land while it`s available.
