if you type in the search bar on the left hand side
you will find quite a bit of info on cleevleys
but does seem most from there give it a miss and hit blackpool

I had no luck over 6 months ago but seen a video of someone doing quit well there. When I was there there was a fresh batch of sand dumped a few feet thick.
The video was on YouTube labeled as Fleetwood but it is clearly the steps at Clevely

I have been going up to bispham but the main of the finds are fishing weights, Blackpool seems the better bet but parking is a pain.

rocky patches if they are showing that's where the older stuff lies, coin's are allways mixed with patches of weights in them areas
