Is this beach worth it?

Post by Mucky »

I will be on holiday for a few days here week beginning 7th, and was thinking about taking my detector. Then I looked a bit more deeply and have found that most of it is man made!
Would you bother?
Watch the last bit of the video in particular where it looks like they are bringing in sand! x;
Fun to watch the slews though in this time delay video.
Please let me know if I should bother, thanks. ::g

I can recall some years back a beach in Kent, had thousands of tons of sand put on it.People started to find lots of Dutch 1700 silver coins turned out that the sand been taken from the inner Goodwinds sand banks were there have been many ship wrecks.So you can never tell well worth a go. ::g

Agree with Oliver, always worth a go, if they bringing in sand, they are also bringing whatever is in the sand, you never know ::g

Thanks Oliver, my first thoughts were they are just building long tide breakers to encourage natural build up, then I saw the last bit and thought no way!
That's a good point you make there, thanks.

I never do beaches but as I'm going there, well the thought was instant until I saw this!
It was only completed two years ago so casual losses would be poor too I imagine. :-L

Cheers Owain, I reckon I'll take it anyway! ::g
