hi could anyone tell me if there are any restrictions on metal detecting the beaches from sandbanks to hengestbury head, (dorset) Thanks

Hi, I detect Bournemouth beach and I would say Hengistbury Head beach would be a no detect as the Headland is a SSI site, probably from where you get level with the double dykes. Sandbanks through to the Eastcliffe looks to be covered by the Crown Estates permit. Have detected Southbourne, not seen any signs saying not to. Christchurch has signs saying no detecting.
