Few hours after work tonight

Post by northernmonkey »

Evening all,
Early finish from work today so hit the beach again for a few hours.
Really struggled today as the beach has had a fresh dump of sand on it but managed to find a small cut with the black stuff just below.... Not many signals but managed a tiny earring, few coins, lure, chrome cap thing and a nice bit of 9ct with a red stone... ::g
All found with the sovereign gt in all metal/pinpoint mode with max sensitivity.

Cheers
Matt

Thanks for the pic. It's other peoples posts that keeps me keen when I have left it for a while.
Interested in why your using all metal mode. Do you benefit from more depth when switching to this?

in discrim mode i can only have the sensitivity around 11 o clock,in pp mode i can run it flat out. Most of the stuff I've dug since trying it would have be found in my usual discrim mode but there has been a few very faint deep coins which i couldn't find when flicking back to discrim with sensitivity at 11.
90% of the time i use it in discrim as most of the beaches i do are way to trashy.
Since going further out on the wet sand over the past few weeks where the signals are few and far between i thought id give it a go after seeing a post on another forum last year about the pp mode
So far so good... ill definatlety be sticking with it if conditions allow.. ::g
