DEUS DAY - Sun 28th Sept
Hello again,
Does anyone have the address for Adam and Lisa's website referred to in an earlier post on this thread?
Usual searches have not thrown up the details.
Many thanks,
Ron

I've got to thank Jez and Liam for organizing the great Deus Day and Adam & Lisa for a great demo on the Deus, what Adam doesn't know about the Deus probably isn't worth knowing.
I think the dog got my Brownie maybe next time Donna
.
Well what a hot day we had phew sweat was pouring out of me,found my first Roman coin chuffed to bits missed out on the Polo shirt though as there was only 21,if Jungle had gotten out of bed earlier we probably would have got one, I'm sure that lad drinks too much lol.
Great to see so many friendly people Jez told me I'd find a Roman and I did but was having my doubts.
So a big THANK YOU from me for everyone involved in making this a fantastic day,be good to make it an annual event
Looking forward to the forum dig just hope there ain't as much clay in the ground lol I can't believe that the farmers actually can grow stuff in that.
Top day

Glad you had a great time - re the polo shirts there should have been enough to go around but maybe not in your size, so let Nigel at Regtons know and I am sure he will send one out, make sure you give him your size, Patrick had a quantity for all but in various sizes. Liam

Can I also add a big apology for not being able to be there & also thank Liam for getting this off the ground, anyone else who helped organise the day, provided land (farmer), food (Donna), expertise (Adam, Lisa & Stuart) and anything else I've overlooked rl; & lastly Patrick for taking the goodies to & from the event.
If anyone missed out on a shirt could I ask them to contact Liam so that he can make up a list of what was missing, I 'thought' there were enough to go around but clearly that was not the case, I'm at the MDF dig in Oct & can hand over any missing shirts there, any remainder I can post out, at this time only Small M & L are available but hopefully I will get some XL before the MDF day.........
See you all in a few weeks.

What a difference from 5 years ago when many thought those first few praising the Deus were nuts.![]()
Jerry.

I cannot imagine that the scientists have not already developed a kind of LIDAR technology that strips away the soil layers and clearly identifies solid/different masses (hoard) or can filter out a target ID number, giving depth/exact shape etc.
I was told a while ago that XP had new technologies in the pipeline and although the Deus is an incredible machine, to XP it will seem a bit dated and they will have newer technologies to add to it. I am surprised that other manufacturers have not copied the Deus technologies, may be a patent problem in the mix.
Anyway, its a super machine without doubt and hence its growing popularity, no wonder that XP will let those sales roll on and on for a while, before announcing the next miracle machine. The talk from Adam Staples opened many minds as to the versatility of the programmes and how the settings can be tweaked to get a better response to different targets in different soils and conditions, Liam

Glad to see everyone had a great day. Not jealous, really! However as I knew a few months ago it was highly unlikely I would still be at home come the due dates and as it turned out actually flew out to China via the Office in Hong Kong on 22nd.
Ah well maybe next time.
Meanwhile I'm already longing for the end of December when I should be back and able to detect again.
I do have time now to stick a few finds on here for ID though.
Cheers

Hi Liam, did you get my PM sent on Monday? I've tried to send another one to you today which is just sat in my outbox?

Thanks for pulling out the stops for us on Sunday. I had 72 & 1/2p of modern coins, few buttons and half a 18C shoe buckle.
