Dont live down there any more but you could do worse that joining Celticsearchers and Cardiff Scan Club... they will make you very welcome.

Hi Gogo, I'm new at this game too,had the gear for a while but not been out anywhere to talk of. Was wondering where about you've been hunting

around your patch? Do you do local fields ? Barry beach should be interesting? I live in Cardiff [near Barry road].

you will find more stuff down at Penarth than Barry (which is often done), though be prepared to dig loads of fishing weights and metal blobs!!! Good luck.

Also new to metal detecting, had my garrett 250 for nearly a month.
Im from barry area and looking to go out locally.
Have you tried anywhere around these areas yet?

Keep an eye on Detecting Wales.com who had to cancel a rally today so, presumably it will be resheduled.
