Hi,
I live on Long Island, about 60 miles outside New York City and will be in Cairnbaan, Argyll for one week between May 5 and May 12. Bought a CTX 3030 a few months back and have only been on a couple of hunts so far - mostly beaches. I hope to do more before traveling to Scotland.
I am a 64 year old man in decent shape who doesn't mind walking. I will be staying at a friend's house while he is away and thought it might be fun to bring my 3030 to a land where it's history goes back more than a few centuries, with apologies to the Native Americans. I won't have a car so I will have to rely on public transportation, my friend's bike, or my legs.
I'm embarrassed of the man now running my country so would prefer not to be reminded of it while on vacation. If anyone lives nearby and is interested in showing a foreigner the landscape, I would be much obliged.
Sincerely,
Steve Berner

Hi Steve,
I live too far south in the land of the Sassenachs to be able to help, but hope one of our friendly Albanachs (and there are many) will give you some time and transport so you have at least one enjoyable day out digging. If you don't at least try the local "water" it is rather good.
Good luck
Mike
