Hello all,
If you wish to use the MDF`s Buy, Sale and Wanted section of the forum remember to use a safe method of payment, something like cash on collection would be ideal or PayPal which offer its own assurances but " Strictly do not use the Family and Friends form of Payment"

Rule 6 - Buying - Selling - Wanted
Buying, Selling, Wanted and Exchange topics are now allowed at the MDF.....

1) Important if you have been contacted through the PM system to a Wanted listing you posted please make sure its from a established member and not from someone who has just registered, anyone selling must reach the terms as below in section "2)"

2) Seller must of already been a member of the MDF for at least 3 months and have 20 posts to their account.

3) Only the selling of personally owned second-hand items

4) Strictly No commercial topics or commercial selling through the pm system.

5) Forms of Payment method allowed are Paypal but strictly not "the Friends and Family Payment option as it offers no assurances" and Cash on Collection.

6) If you wish to sell an item here selling the same items on Ebay, Gumtree and generally selling elsewhere is not allowed.

7 ) Item for Sale must be placed in Used Metal Detectors for Sale Forum - Click link in left blue menu called Gear for Sale

8) Items for sale must be metal detecting related.


9) Please allow 14 days to elapse before 'bumping' or re-bumping your add.

10) Adding images to your items for sale topic is a mandatory requirement

11) Once an item has been sold the seller must inform an admin to lock the topic.

12) Wanted Topics - Please only reply if you have the item for sale, do not post replies stating you can purchase on auction sites, Gumtree or other websites.
Important note - do not accept offers directly though the pm system from New members, the seller must of been a member for at least 3 months and have 20 posts to their account.

13) This is not a forum for General discussion, its simply to post for sale or Wanted topics, all off-topic replies not related to buying and wanted will be removed.

FINALLY - We’re spending a lot of time chasing members for updates on items that have been posted for sale, swap or wanted.

To minimise this, from now on posts over 3 months old will be automatically locked (sale/ swap items) or deleted (wanted posts) unless an update or bump has been posted by the original poster (OP).
