Club or buddy request

Hi all,
I really want to start detecting and I’m ready to purchase my first detector but I really want to join a club or have someone guide me and show me the ropes. Plus I’m not that confident in going round farms trying to get permissions. I can’t seem to find any clubs in the Worcestershire area though.

It seems that many clubs have full membership but you can always put your name down on the waiting list, though it might take a while to get in.

In the meantime, perhaps attend a few rallies to see how things work?

Are you based in Worcester itself or on the outskirts? I'm in Redditch.

Also, if you do not feel confident approaching farmers, then perhaps you could try sending letters?
I sent 17 out myself last week, but you will likely have to follow the letter up with a phone call or a visit to the farm- it allows you to start the conversation though and take a step closer to the goal.

I can send you the letter I used and you could modify it for yourself if you like?
