Hells bells, Fred, you must've been bent double under that lot.

At that rate you'll be visiting the scrappy once a fortnight. :D

Funnily enough a trip to the scrappy is one of the first jobs on my agenda - as soon as I can bring myself to stop swinging the Nox. ::g

Wow congratulations Fred, that's a tremendous day out!

Do you (or anyone else) know whether using the Nox you need to go as low and slow as you'd need to with something like the Etrac or Explorer or does the faster processor mean you can speed up a bit?

It is a funny one is the Nox. If you go too slow you can actually miss things. The swing speed depends upon what you have recovery set on and whether you are using all metal. If you have the recovery low the signal is wider and you speed up the swing speed to pinpoint. ::g

Many thanks for this info Fred. I'll be sure to keep that in mind if Santa treats me this year.

With a bit of luck by Christmas there will be far more consensus about what the various setting do and what the best settings are in each situation. ::g

Getting old sucks but at least Christmas now comes whenever I want something because waiting for it is no longer a statistically good idea. :D
