Lancaster born and bred myself- so I know some of the areas you and MW mention well. Crotal bells up here are indeed not at all common - had maybe 5 in 30 years and that includes bits. Odd as many of the foundries were based in the North west - but just not used here.
I have an actual bucket list typed out (my top 10) and a silver seal is amongst them - very nice indeed, hopefully the crest can be identified [81/]
