hello mate I will ask if anyone in the Bmth Club can help out with land for you for a day but as far as the Beaches go, they are constantly being dregded and seived so any decent finds will be along the wet sand mainly.

Its a shame I willbe working all next week so wont have time to come and join you myself but will see if anyone else can.

Thanks and have a good time in the not so sunny Bournemouth. Will PM you if anyone can help out.

Darren (:| ;)

Have had some great advice regarding settings though one thing I did forget to mention and dont know weather this will affect the advice given. I am intending to use my large Deus coil.
Any comments please.
May also see if I can sort out a fishing rod too as seems you can fish from the pier.
Sea if there any mackeral about to barbie on the beach for when wifey gets out of confference.

Paul, if all else fails, bring your bucket and spade and relive those wonderful childhood years of building sandcastles =)) =))
I hope the offers of help that have come in turn up trumps, nice gesture indeed, Liam ::g

Ya mean my cut down border spade of course and a bucket for all the gold rings lol.

Have had some sound advice and sory to anyone bored with my continious bumping but will be bumping regularly just incase someone who has not seen pops by. The upside is I will be going around Mon-Tue so no bumping from then on lol.

There is a post about the maplin sand scoop only being £ 1. 99 at the mo. A very good item to have on the beach and cheap as chips at the mo. Log into the Maplins site under metal detector accesories.

Just renovated an old carbon bespoke Barbell rod so does anyone know what the score is for fishing off the pier. When the tide is in I can do a little fishing if it allowed from the pier was thinking of chucking a light float rig for Mackeral, gar etc.
