Is there any way of knowing

Metal detecting beaches, rivers and other water related areas.

Just a little tip for you guys:

Look for those wooden markers on the beach and measure them every now and then, this way you can get a good idea if sand is going on or of.

Really jealous of you lot - I'm in Derby - cant get any further from the coast but i fancy some beach detetcing...
CTX 3030 and Garrett Pro-Pointer. Garrett ACE 250 and AT PRO as spare.

I used to do Blackpool quite a lot during the winter months and learnt over time which wind direction did the most damage to the beach.

Get to know your local beach and it will save o a lot of time and expense in wasted trips.
