Headphones or not

Sorry to hear your sad news.

Regarding headphones, they are a must.
I have the Deus wireless set and they are so light you forget that you're wearing them.
Also, you can hear the Yellowhammers, Red Kites and other wildlife quite easily.

Before the Deus I had over-the-ear 'phones and they were very hot to use.
The coiled wire was a little bit of a pain, but a minor niggle really.

I must admit, when out with the club and I hear the guys using the machines without 'phones, it's more of a case of "Jeez, he's got a good signal over there" lol!!

I always use headphones. tried both ways and its amazing how you miss those faint signals without them

Well had the afternoon out today and tried wearing headphones for the first time. I got on with them ok apart from everytime I dug a signal I just found it a right pain having to keep taking them off as the cord kept getting caught up around me.

So I think I need a wireless set. But does anyone know of a wireless set I can use with a minelab x terra 705

xp headphones as somone said earlyer,c lear crisp sound,volume control and they dont get too irritating.and you can also hear things around you without loosing the ability to hear those faint signals.so what if they break after 5 or 6 months they cheep enough to replace.ive had the same set over twelve months...detecting regualy and they still ok...worth a try for the price,if ou dont like them keep them for a spare.

Does this apply to say, the ACE250? Our tone is loud regardless how deep the find it, please elaborate, I don't understand! (I'm a novice)

I don't wear headphones as normally i am alone in the field ( only joking ) but you know what i am going to try some ipod in ear ones and see if there is any difference . I have got the Deus wireless ones but have never used them .And i like the sound to annoy Phil when he comes with me

On club digs I do out of consideration to others (and to make sure I don't miss anything). Otherwise I hate them and try and avoid as much as possible. I suppose it depends on the detector?

No just means keeping the peace with fellow Mdr's

I'd say no difference to if you was to or not to wearing headphones with the Ace 250

Thanks, but why is it different to other MD's? Do some give different strength tones depending on how big/small/shallow or deep a target is?
