Need to see what the gales do to the Beach in the next few days John. Yesterday i met a bloke from Barnsley who had spent the afternoon getting soaked for 1 pence!. One of the problems with Brid beach this time of year is it can get covered in Seaweed and debris after storms, if thats the case try the North beach which stays cleaner but is also the older area. I am going to have a go in the morning at 6.30 on the low tide

Yes the harbour end was building up when I was there on Saturday, the groynes near the Spa had less showing at the seaward end than usual. I am doing my Grandad bit this weekend so I will probably be over a week on Saturday at the earliest, will let you know ::g

Was in Brid working this morning so took my kit and spent 3 hours on the beach this afternoon. Wind was howling and although trying to follow the tide out it was hard going. There was hell of a swell and the harbour wall took a battering.

I picked up about 2 - 3 pounds in modern change but most was well over a foot down.

Low tide was around 6pm and I left at 3.30pm. I wasnt able to see any gullies forming but it turned alot of sand over. It was so rough the beach was virtually deserted apart from one foolhardy dectectorist and a few dog walkers.

:D
I have done the deed! Upgraded from my cs330 to a cs4pi!
Arrives tomorrow!

Think I may be digging bigger holes. Can,t wait until daddy care day next week to take the boy out on to the sands. Last week we managed 30mins without even digging any rubbish before it started to rain.
