Having just got a 13x11 coil for the Deus I'm in the market for harness. Are there any Video's of your “split leg” recovery technique using this harness?
Hello Jungle , I use The Easy Swing on the Deus with the 13x11 coil ::g
It certainly helps balance it better and obviously makes the light weight deus even lighter ::g
Also when I metal detect the beach the deus just hangs down by my side so you do not have to keep lying it on the sand etc::g
Cracking bit of kit for the price
Cheers

This harness looks and is the bee's knee's. Simple in design, intuitive to put on and very quickly getting you into the action of detecting without having to adjust anything, or do the usual fiddling about to get comfortable (Even the CTX3030 feels so light and manoeuvrable (especially when it has the large 15" coil fitted) ::g You might laugh, but I also use this on the Deus when I know that I will have a full days detecting (It's an old war wound to be honest, my late wife caught me going into her purse!) Buy it! it is cheap at the price, you tight lot of sods x:) x:) x:) x:)
Thanks for the kind words Hiawatha. We sell loads of the Easy Swings for just such the reasons you state. I use one on all my Minelab Detectors even on the Deus like you. Helpful thing is it keeps everything out of the crap and wet. Its chief use obviously is to carry the extra weight of a detector like the Minelabs. I used to use a Swingy thingy years ago until I discovered one better. That one had obvious design faults so I redesigned it to suit proper detectorists. The Easy Swing is the result. Theres been one or two moan about it but they always will, theres also the odd person who alters things to suit themselves, thats fine. I developed a whole new way of digging holes using the harness thats why I even use it on the Deus.
The idea is not to unhook and kneel down at the hole. That takes unnecessary time. Simply stand the detector upright by your side still attached, put a toe on the back of the coil to hold it there and simply dig the hole out with splayed legs. The detector stays there solid as a rock ready to run your handfuls of dirt over the coil. Splay your legs out more If you need to reach deeper. So much easier with a little practice your detector will stay clean and you will recover all your finds in record time.
I watch some people fannying around at holes sometimes at rallies and they are still there when I have dug three or four holes and moved on. Experience and practice I suppose. :ml
Tony I am in the market for a bungee as I want to use my 17" coil more on the ctx but after a days detecting my back is in serious pain, am not sure what you mean though when you say you stand on the coil and no longer bend etc, have you made a video on this method you use.
