Be interesting to see what you find, Graham - if it ever stops raining. Would be good to get out.
Good luck with it.

cheers Ray hopefully i will get out tomorrow some where .got the new machine and having a quick run thru with programs etc .this is either going to be the best move i have done regarding detectors or the worse . first impressions over engineered for most detecting requirements a bit to over fussy and a few to many gimmicks ,but we will see how many functions that are going to be used and therefore worthwhile.
i must admit on paper it is heavier than the etrac by about 3lbs but in the hand it does not feel that heavy the balance is just about perfect .tomorrow the test begins

Good luck K I'm sure you will be fine with the ctx. You say it seems over fussy etc...it's future proof! Interesting comment on use in iron...is it THAT much better than the Etrac? Any info from long time users? I'm contemplating a used Goldmaxx power as well as smaller coils to go with the Etrac..

Have had mine since Feb and I love it, however its a steep learning curve. I feel I am not getting the best out of it yet and so I use the MLO website and have just got the Andy Sabisch CTX book to get a few more tips.
Hope you enjoy your new machine.
