I will post my findings on my next Deus Digger Diary report. ::g

After watching your video I ordered a adapter & tried it out on the weekend club dig That was a old hoard site, we thought we would try with up to date machines... [:)
Brilliant out of 20-25 detecting around 60-70 roman coins found of which I found twenty.... ::g & gave 4-5 signals to other club members who were struggling ;)) (that all turned up a Roman)
We compared signals with the same machine same settings & the signals were a lot clearer with this set-up... ::g :D ::g

Thanks for the tip & remember you're a Womble... [:)

I managed to try it out for a couple of hours on Friday afternoon and I would probably recommend them if the ground is not iron infested as otherwise it blows your head off its that loud!! But I would say the signals are more obvious so my advice would be to give it ago

Thanks Ollie ::g

I gave a full review in one of my posts but to cut it short. I like them and rated them 8/10. Thanks for letting us know about them ::g

I tried it yesterday and it certainly cut ambient noise so almost missed Church signalling finish time. I could also see the Cockerel straining to make his usually annoyance heard. Three observations, one, the sound of how unfit I was going up the slope as internal body sounds appear louder, two, friction noise from clothing rubbing on the headphone cable was too noisy.Over the ear cable would cut down on this. Three, had to lower Iron frequency to compensate for lack of "bass".

I only needed volume level 2. I did not compare signal with WS4 but I did get a tiny (less than 10mm) hammered long cross(To be ID'd) from about 3cm.

Will defiantly work on this as it saves on buying WS5 so I can now look at the new pin pointer and coil instead!

Tried it myself (Garys Hot 8khz and a good pair of in ear phones) and although ambient noise was cut out there wasnt much more to hear than what i could hear when wearing my WS4s albeit louder. However Im going to another well done site of mine and will try again and see what i can pick out using in ears.

For anyone wanting to try this but needs the ws4 jack output adapter I managed to find one online for £12 free p&p.
It's from a site called Hidden History. Just google "XP jack output adaptor Hidden History"
Works out about 5 quid cheaper than other sites that charge p&p ::g

I always wear a hat and the ws4's are comfy for the first half hour then start digging in at the top of my ears..my Sony in-ear phones will solve that :))

I have used these headphones now for two four hour sessions. I must admit that I have never fancied in ear phones but these do not sit right inside the ear, they are the wrong shape, with the ear lopes they site supported just touching the ear and you really do not feel you are wearing any phones at all. The sound I found sharp and responsive, similar in tone to the Chefphones I usually wear. Great for the summer, thanks for sharing.

Hi, if anyone is interested, I bought a set of OMX 185 ear phones and tried them out today. Yes, they do clean up the various tones particularly the high tones. The sound is much brighter than the WS5's that I have been using for two years but I expect that is due to the OMX 185's not having any padding on them. The volume control is a must. On full volume the tones were VERY loud.
Will I use them again? Yes I will.
Happy hunting everyone!!

I've ordered the ws4 adapter but was just going to use my in-ear sony's without volume control. Can I adjust the headphone volume from the ws4 unit?

Yes you can still use the volume control on the unit ::g

Good to see some positive feedback .. I use in ears every time now and couldn't go back to the headband .. I've seen some B&O in ears with ear loops that look tempting lol

Forgot to mention that if it's too loud try turning down the audio response before turning down the volume as the lower the audio response the lower the volume and the better "shape" and gauge of depth you will get

Will you get more response from the B&O in-ears? Excellent headphones but can you justify the price? TBH i've always wanted a pair just for listening to music but well out of my league =P~
