Most of the second hand ones I've seen are people who have purchased one on a whim so hardy been used...Well worth a look but note the lowest new price as many people seems to want more second hand than you can get one new....
As said receipt is a must
Some guy on a well know site wanted £850 for second had ws4 Deus light.

Check out the THEMUSEUM.CO.UK for the lowest advertised new price but other dealers will match this..
Good luck

I got mine off that site for about £430 with ws4 and small coil.
I bid on a whim and didn't expect to win but for once the extra 55p won the day.
It was an old machine as it was still running V2 but apart from a tiny scratch on the headphones it was as good as new. Updated it using a friends control box, good to go.
The battery's are both fine, in fact I forgot to charge it last week and started the day with only 1 bar on the coil, I figured I'd just keep going till it died, lasted a good 7 hours and was still going when I'd had enough.
No warranty with it, but I'm not too bothered, but as stated if you shop around there's some good deals to be had if you want that price of mind.
I'd say go for it if you can get one at a good price

So you can buy great machines second hand ... but you can also buy dud's second hand.
However you never buy dud's when buying new... and if you do you have a guarantee in your name.
Just coz its a Deus ... it doesnt mean it wont go wrong ... all machines go wrong ... thats why the g-tee in your own name is a total must! My second hand sovereign is currently scraped in the garage!

I have just purchased a second hand deus lite with 11" coil and ws5 headphones from a well known company for £550 with 4 years warranty.
When I received it, the middle stem was bent. The shop was good as gold and sent a replacement. Because the lower plastic stem is housed in the middle stem this is also bent a bit. They are also going to replace the bottom stem.
The first time I used it the headphones worked for a bit and then only worked one side. So I contacted the shop and they are sending them to xp to get it fixed.
For a machine only one year old the chap who part x'd it must have hammered it with lote of dents in the upper stem.
They are also providing me with an instruction manual and arm cuff velcro for nothing as it wasn't in the box.
They have been amazing. I would not even consider paying good money without the warranty.
Because of all the problems the shop asked for the machine back to do a complete overhaul and checks.
They have given me the option of having it back with all these improvements with the 4 years warranty still in place and because it was initially purchased from them will deal with any warranty issues.
Or paying another £90 ish to get a brand new deus lite with 11" coil and ws4 back phones?
What do you think?

Go for the 90 £.. Then you can treasure it for years to come.. And you will know what you have forever..
You have choosen a great machine, easy to use and with hig preformance.. Im sure the shop will overhaul the used one, and it to will make some other detectorist happy.. Just when you already have concerns about it.. I think - it will keep on nagging you.. So go 90 £..
