Its all ok now and I will make sure I don't put it in the case again , ( I'm very impressed with the great speedy service from crawfords / regtons ::g )

AO - What do you mean by "speedy service from crawfords / regtons"? are the two organisations linked?
I bought it from crawfords , I've had it repaired 3 times under warranty , when it's come back each time it's had a repair document from regtons , when I've rang crawfords to see how the repairs going they have said they have sent it off , ( obviously to regtons ) ::g
All seems a little odd to me ... I would therefore assume that the like for like crawfords deal is more expensive.

The arm strap is only covered for 3 months apparently when I emailed the dealer ;;z

I wasn't impressed as although I have had just over a year it hadn't had a massive amount of use, it just fell to bits on the end. Didn't even offer a discounted replacement lol. All noted for next XP purchase. Perhaps I have just been spoilt with great service from my local Minelab dealer, shame they don't sell XP :(

Unless you have taken a Stanley knife to the Arm band I would assume that its covered for 5 years like the rest of the kit?
It would be like buying a laptop and saying that the "Z" key is covered for 24 months but the "A" key is covered for 3 months??? OooO OooO OooO

Yea I was a bit supprised as I had been carefull with it, my CTX is about 4 years old and the strap is still going strong and that gets a lot more punishment lol. Not a major deal but it is those type of little after sales things that you remember next time you are spending large sums of money.

I have even had things out of warranty replaced by my local shop, and always make a point of trying to send business there way, just a shame they are not allowed to stock XP or I would of gone there in the first place.
