Thanks I am not sure...may be my old ears...lol! but likely having more range of sounds may help me to recognize difference in the signals.ju.mobile wrote:Hi Bell-Two,
The increase in tones is a range, the limit is currently 800. As I understand it, this will be increased to 1000 and thus allowing for a range of pitches. The 800 - 1000 range should give a higher pitch tone and will provide a clear definition on those high tones.
Sorry, not used one of those so cant offer any advice on why the sounds may be different on those particular machines. Only question would be are the settings equivalent between the two?
Cheers
Ju

Hello all
Very happy today on returning from a club dig I found my MI-6 pin-pointer has been delivered that I WON at the Deus rally in October
Now just need to wait until V4 update to really test it out.

I'll let you all know how I get on when V4 is released.
What I can tell you after a hour of playing with settings Its a good weight sound & vibration are loud & crisp, sensitivity levels work well & easy to custom for example I've Turned off light as I only detect in the day light & turned vibration off as I don't feel I need it.
The on/off switch feels responsive & robust only time will tell on that but it feels better than the Garrett carrot switch...

Hi Bell-Two, I have the ws4's and have had a set of cheffphone's cp6's and the ws5's.Bell-Two wrote:I just got my Deus with the WS5 headphones, my impression is that the Tones are not as "Crisp" as those on my CTX is there any "upgrade" in the tones besides the increase to the 1000 tone?
I also found the tone's on the cheff's & ws5's "muted".
The ws4's are a lot better with crisp, clear tones.
The only problem I had was I found that after about an hr or so with them on they start to hurt/very uncomfortable to wear.
What I do now is have the adaptor for the ws4's and plug in a pair of ear buds.
Brill tones, no cumbersome headphones, can talk and detect, win win all round

Just put the ws'4 control in a top pocket and even tho their is a "wire" you wouldn't know

Been doing this for a fair while now and would not want to go back, it's brilliant
