I have some B-twin cycling gloves which I picked up from my local Decathlon store for £14.00. They are very warm, grippy and quite sturdy, although I wouldn't scrape away in the soil mole-like with them too much! The best thing is they fit! I struggle to find gloves where the fingers aren't too long for me. There's nothing worse than trying to hold that tiny artefact when the end of the fingers are flopping about all over the place! I always have to try on gloves for this reason, so would never buy them online without having tried a pair on first.
ps. they are meant to have a conductive pad on the forefinger for using a touch-screen, but mine don't really work that well.....especially not once covered in mud!
I've done the 'buckle boogie', the 'musket-ball mambo' and even the 'silver shuffle', but sadly still no 'gold dance'. You're really gonna know it when you see it though!
