How deep can you go with the Deus v2 ?

Unfortunately all these "depth" videos are site relative and bear little if any relevance to other sites or machines.
What you need is a test site that remains the same and other machines to be tested on the same ground but even this can be misleading in the sense that certain machines and frequencies can handle certain mineralised sites far better than others.

OK, Just had a try for you and the answer is yes I can get a signal at 15 inches using a tidy Victoria Penny.

Using some of the presets its faint but definitely there.

Using Relic and dropping the frequency to 4kHz gave me the best result. Jerry.

I fully agree regarding these type of ground testing videos there are so many variables to take into consideration and there not what you could call scientific but saying that I feel you can at least get some idea what the machine can be capable of

Hello all

I find that even on the faint signals you can if you dig find copper coins, buttons in my experience at arround 10" - 12" on the standard coil. You have to go slow to find the faint signals but they can come up with the goods. At first when I was new to the Deus I was not impressed. Now after a year rushing round a field is useless.

Just ben reading through old posts,i always did stubble with the deus but since getting some pasture permisions and listening to those faint signals i am getting what i think is the max from my deus now 10" on small stuff so really happy with that,still looking at getting a ctx though as i do like my gadgets and GPS would be cool lol.

What I have come to realise is you do not want a machine that can pick small objects up anything over 12 inches in depth, next time take a measuring stick and see how deep a whole that really is and you will not want to keep digging them, I decided to do a test bed with objects buried at 13 to 14 inches and give up as you have to be ironman to keep digging them, great if you have a nice target at the end of them but when its a small piece of junk

Hi Sportman, I am still using the Deus, its very light and easy to use, its also nice having the wireless side of things B-)
As you would of seen by the video from day one of its use I was surprised how well it performed when only using the basic settings
