Well we had our first day out with the Ace 250 and enjoyed every minute. As mentioned in a previous post, we met up with Resurgam who gave us some good advice and quite a bit of useful history about Talacre beach. Thanks for that, Resurgam.

Finds wise there plenty of bullets to be had and we were happy just to find these. At least our machine is working. In all we found about 15 bullets, 2 nails, what seems to be a starting handle (!) and our first coin (a 1979 2pence). Not quite made up the cost of the Ace 250 but it's a start.

Anyway, we enjoyed the day, the fresh air, the experience. Can't wait to go again. Maybe with a detector each next time.
