Its just like fishing ... the longer you have your bait in the water .. the more you will catch. That said you need the right bait, and the waters need to be well stocked ... otherwise its hit and miss.

Nice to see a tray of beach gold. Thanks ::g , a few pics like that are needed when your beaches are buried in sand and your digging scrap. The thing that tempts me with the CTX3030 is the GPS. I do sometimes wonder is there an altitude meter accurate enough to tell you the height of the sand? That would be a detector and a half if you could see from previous hunts if you were walking over higher or lower sand.

I never see the accumulated years worth of junk when I look at a photos of gold.

4 modern coins and half a silver cufflink this morning and not much better yesterday. I'm poaching on a North Kent beach tomorrow. ::g
