walton on the naze where can i go

Post by aja »

Hi all was planning to do a bit of beach detecting at walton.I have not been detecting for many years but want to start up again i have really missed this hobby.
Just wanted to know where i can go on the beach if i can that is, never been beach detecting before so any information would be good would also like to try Mersea and Clacton if possible. The crown land colour seems to be at frinton so is Walton OK or of ssi interest and i need to seek permission before hand?

I just don't want to get into trouble on my first outing after twenty or more years of not detecting.
But now i have recently retired i would love to take it up again.

Subject: beach metal detecting

Dear sir
could you please advise if there are any restrictions on Tendring council beaches outside the areas covered by the crown estate. This being apart from following the best practise guidelines of the NCMD.

Best regards Neil Thompson

Good morning,

Thank you for your email.

We do not have any restrictions on the beaches at Tendring in regards to metal detecting.
