Black sand beaches tenerife?

Are these as bad as I fear they may be for a Minelab Explorer 2? Black sand usually isn't great is it? I also have a small "Vibratector" for snorkeling that is a Pulse machine.

Hi,

it's not just black sand

it is volcanic sand = iron granulate
no minelab works on the volcanic.....
