George iii shilling ?

Post by stevo-preston »

Evening to all
I found this the other day and think it is a George iii shilling? However all the other ones I see online are silver, mine seems to be copper or bronze and has traces of gold on it- guilding ?
Any help much appreciated :)

Hope you don't mind me jumping on your post, but funnily enough, my only Georgian milled 'silver' was a snide George Ill shilling, found about 10yrs ago, until today, when I found the real deal (along with a George VI sixpence).
Not as good condition as some I've seen posted on here recently, but I'm still delighted.
