Definitive list of compatible headphones to detectors needed

Looking around at purchasing some decent headphones for my detector it has become apparent not all headphones work with all detectors and I think it's time to address the situation.
Ive tried Sprites with my EuroAce to no avail. Ive heard Chef phones dont work with Whites XLT's etc etc.
Its annoying as anyone would think any headphones fit any detector.......wrong.
Hardly any of the retailers offer any compatability list so its a right pain when you order a set only to find they dont work and have to send them back only to go through the same process again
Im looking at Chef phones for my EuroAce and would appreciate any feedback.

Grey Ghost Headphones work with most detectors as they have a switch to make them work on both types

Thanks Dave. These are my second choice followed by jolly rogers at the moment. Ive just emailed Geoff at Chef phones and he says the garretts are fine with his sets
