Hi forestom, I have moved this into the right section as it will ten be better seen and replied to. Good luck with the quest for the right headphones, they are so important when the ear and brain is trying to find those elusive signals, Liam B-)

Well the best phones I have had by a mile are the Chef Phones CP-3 model. Used with my Minelabs they tone left or right of the target and go stereo when you hit centre of your coil. I do not know how he does this but they sure beat the Grey ghosts, Koss30,s and Peltor Phones I had previously and could not get comfortable with any of them. They are comfortable to wear and come with volume control and curly lead for about sixty pound new and are indestructable. Hope this helps.
