XP Deus accessories

Post by detecttheearth »

Hi,
I’ve got an XP Deus and am wondering what accessories users here feel are an absolute necessity?
Will I need a pointer with the Deus or is it accurate enough?
Does anyone know of a good carry case for the Deus?

Is the bag item number Product Code: 94739 on Screwfix?

You can buy a cover from a well known caution site for the controller, but some people wrap them in cling film at our club or the £1 shop somtimes have waterproof bags you can put round your neck

Get a small cloth bag for you Headphones as i scratched mine in the plastic box as there was a little bit of mud on the phone when i put them away.

I also bought a cheap insulated cool bag to keep the headphones chargers and control until all together its about 6 x 8 inches big keeps every thing tidy and safe.

I always use a Pro-pointer as it speeds up the recovery of the tiny finds.

I've found the best carry bag is a three raquet (racket ?) tennis bag used together with a full tennis raquet cover for the large coil & stem and a full badminton raquet cover for the small coil & stem. The coils an stems fit perfectly in the covers and are then carried all together with the upper stem and all the other bits and pieces in the tennis bag offering protection and a degree of security.

I also use a Slazenger tennis racket holdall, just the right size for the Deus and the accessories. I use a black bin liner for the wellies/boots and anything that ends up muddy, Liam B-)

Hi guys and girls.. I would love to se - philthedig - a demo photo withe Tennis Racket case.. How it all fits in ect.. Before I go out buying one.. I think it is the best transport ide I have evers seen.. I had my mind set on trying to find a Dimavery bag for a trompet. But I live very very remote and isolated, so to test I need to ordre everyting in by UPS.. It makes test no affordable. So if any one have asset to a music store - you migth go try some out and post result.. Thanks.. John

Sorry - I move it up to get response.. And think its kind of usefull for everyone detectorist.. I can add that any boks or bag should be able to accommodate a MD (in this case a XP DEUS) measuring
Long - 600 mm. Vide 230 x 300mm. If so you can fit in a XP.. Only folded, not separated.
Thanks - John.. I hope for many good fotos during the evening.. ;)

Thanks Liam, the main advantages are that everything is in one place but individually covered avoiding scratches, I also keep my full headphones [:) , charger etc in the zipped outer pocket.

Thank you Phil.. I had the impression that the Deus could go in the 3xtennisbag in one piece.. So thats why I had my eyes on the Trompet case, but it was to short.. Rigth now Im building a security box to transport XP. I still look for parts so no photo yet, but it is a 60 x30 cm box. 40 hig - hard plastic case like a gun box or fligth case.. I stil do design inside.. I would love to be able just to push Deus together, not take apart and lay it in "something" so lets hope this post survive and more good stuff comes up.. Thanks for you efford to do me photos :)
