First time at filey

Post by canshred »

Hi all, Had my first day up at Filey today. Nothing to shout about just some copper rivets and a dog tag and some shotgun cases...
However Just a big thanks to the Gent running a CTX and another with a Deus who both were a pleasure to talk to and gave some great guidance to me and my mates, I have an AT pro and am just now getting to grips with it.
I took a few ring pulle stc off the Beach and had a good day so despite no value stuff I left feeling a winner!! =P~

Keep at it canshred,if your finding ring can pull.you'll be onto the gold n silver rings, when you find the "SPOT" on the beach.Lads over east coast, all very friendly n helpful.
You will soon learn how to read the beach,n things will come togther.
Good hunting.

Thanks for that.. Yes I am quite happy with the AT Pro to be honest, I have not done any Beach detecting before but spent most of the day messing with sensitivity and ground balance to get to know how the machine operates in that environment. when unsure I chucked a couple of coins down to see how they read. Lots of sand on and had a great tip given about really knocking the sensitivity down.
I think it is very much a learning process and the more I use the machine the more confidence I get with it. Today was a day well spent especially with fresh donuts at the end.
You are right the east coast guys are top!
