A day of dissapointments

Post by trappa »

Well had two hours on the beach this afty. Found one of those bangle bracelets that the women are wearing so slipped it into my pocket to check when i got home. Then thought i found a gold sov but it turned out to be a 1929 half pence that was that was highly polished by the sea and was bright gold ;;z
Went home and the bracelet was just a cheapy, ;;z not like the wifes that costs me a fortune buying those daft bangles for it.
And to cap it all off i had ordered a Kindle paperwhite 3g from ebay which come today when i got back and its just a bog standard kindle, not even paperwhite never mind 3g so will have to open a dispute if he doesnt refund. B|
Ah well.

I share your feelings trappa. I drove to the beach on Fri afternoon despite of the gust winds and spitting rain, took all my gear, dug out all my waterproofs from the garage, only to find out I forgot to take my wellies doh X( Still decided to carry on detect with my trainers (which got quite wet short after). Despite of that I continue on the beach and not long after the battery started to die B| , when back to the car pick up the spare battery and back to the beach. The wind was getting worse, sand flying everywhere, and before I gave up (after 3 hrs) I found a few coins change totalling 20p , a lighter, a few pull rings, and over the period of 3 hours I think I had something like 30 signals. And the most frustrating part was, because I still have not sand scoop, I couldn't dig some of the good deep signals around the pier.

But on the positive side the parking machine was out of order so I didn't pay for the parking ::g

It is just one of those days, I'm having not very good time out in the last few outings on the beach. ;;z

Sounds a bit like my Sat, flat tyre, blew a fuse on car trying to blow it up with what I know know to be a dodgy compressor.pulled my back changing the wheel, popped a few painkillers and thought have a couple of hrs on the beach to cheer myself up. with all the wind I was hoping for a few gulleys etc,but don,t know where it came from but never seen as much sand!!. a few buttons and bit but at least it didn,t rain :E
