I share your feelings trappa. I drove to the beach on Fri afternoon despite of the gust winds and spitting rain, took all my gear, dug out all my waterproofs from the garage, only to find out I forgot to take my wellies doh

Still decided to carry on detect with my trainers (which got quite wet short after). Despite of that I continue on the beach and not long after the battery started to die

, when back to the car pick up the spare battery and back to the beach. The wind was getting worse, sand flying everywhere, and before I gave up (after 3 hrs) I found a few coins change totalling 20p , a lighter, a few pull rings, and over the period of 3 hours I think I had something like 30 signals. And the most frustrating part was, because I still have not sand scoop, I couldn't dig some of the good deep signals around the pier.
But on the positive side the parking machine was out of order so I didn't pay for the parking
It is just one of those days, I'm having not very good time out in the last few outings on the beach.
