It`s a long time since I`ve done beach detecting at Brightlingsea,I tried a small beach near Bateman`s Tower.Only found modern decimals apart from a Guernsey I double (1830) which was in the rocks exposed at low tide.I thought at the time of looking near the pub in the boat building area (The Anchor) but it was very muddy there so I never did manage to detect there.Someone else may be able to help with some more recent information.Good luck and HH.

Used to live there (York Road)...... when I first started detecting. Had a C-Scope CS5MXP and done the beach & paddling pool area. Had two farms out there as well, plenty of stuff to be found! ::g
