Talacre today

Post by Resurgam »

Well, with the BBC weather man promising good weather all day today, I have decided to give the sands at Talacre an other going over with the C-Scope CS4PI and see if I can finally capture some decent finds.

With a very low tide this morning and an almost imperceptible shift of sand in some areas; perhaps the beach is ready to give up some of her secrets. :-SS

Alas, hit the beach early and commenced detecting a pre planned area that I had been investigating and came up with zilch! Interestingly the selected area was unusually devoid of WWII scrap and I only turned up one .303 projectile.

Moving down to the low water mark, I got target after target that turned out to be iron boat fittings. I hate the wet sand; bloomin EuroAce also hates it and my CS4PI can't tell the difference between a gold ring and a washer! 8-|

I'm not knocking either machine but am starting to envy Safari owners who can waltz from dry sand to wet and back again suffering no problems.

Never mind; maybe next time will produce the goodies! ::g

I have been thinking about getting a "Safari" and am presently saving up and putting the money into Premium Bonds until I have enough set aside to make the purchase. With the money in Bonds, I am less likely to spend it on a whim and I stand a chance of winning a little more. :-SS
