Hi all,
managed to get out today for a few hours around work. There was still a lot of sand present, this made things tough going to say the least. Nothing of much interest but always nice to be on the beach and add to the scrap bucket.
All found on the wet stuff, using the dual field running hot.
The copper plate is just about legible. I can make out the words "float" & "if found move to deeper water" ? so that's a strange on..[emoji1]
Also another small metal button, don't know if they are military buttons of some discerption? But have found a few of these around the same area. [
Couple of hours around work.

Just had another look at the copper plate and it says it's from a Smoke Float?

Thats great, thanks the ID again lord. Funny as this beach has not to date thrown up much coinage. When it does the oldest I have had is George V. But buttons.... Well It gives me loads of them!
