Deus headphone options??
What options are there? Ws5 or is there a company that makes a set that you can fit your own control box to.. I still finding the back phones a pain. And I can't justify £300 for ws5 opionions please

I use chefphones and they are excellent, you just attach the headphone controller to them and away you go.

Hi there, I recently bought some of the chefphones CP6E's and they're excellent at blanking out the outside world. I'm now able so you can get 'in the zone' and concentrate on listening for those faint tones. The sound is a bit muffled compared to the ws4's but you'll soon got used to it.

I have decided to go for the Chef phones as well, waiting for some pennies to come in .. Santa forgot to bring them in his sleigh or they dropped off into the Arctic ocean somewhere, Liam

I tried to contact Chef Phones as i suspected mine were faulty but could not get a reply or through on the phone. Left messages but nothing.
They are VERY different to what you would be expecting to hear..like your heads in a bowl of water.
I asked on here and others said the same, thought mine were broken.
In all honesty very disappointed.

Perhaps I'd be better off describing the sounds as like listening to an ipod/walkman,etc with the treble turned down. Sounds APPEAR muffled, not quiet. You can always adjust the tones to better suit your hearing (unless on full tones), although it will still sound like the treble's down. The simple reason that they're basically ear defenders with speakers in means I can be in my own little world and means I can hear so much more than with the ws4's perched on my ears. However, like the Norfolk wolf says in his book, concentration really does play a huge part in being successful and consistent, so if it's constantly playing on your mind when wearing your new Chefphones then you're not going to be any better off! For roughly £75, I'd take the gamble- you'd be sure to sell them for a decent price on the forum auction site if you don't get on with them. Cheers Ollie
