MDF Metal detecting & metal detectors resource: a friendly forum to discuss all your detecting needs and promoting responsible metal detecting for all.
Hi Buzzerman - Welcome to Forum.. I use non motion often.. First I almost always set it up, as it do the pinpoint very accurate..
I have done a few test with it, as I came from a Non Motion detector (CS1220XD) and like the non motion.. Specially if something is dropped under tree or hedge or in difficult and hig grass.. I also have seen the You Tube video (a few) where Ged Peacehaven claims that the NM Is the deepest program in the XP Deus..
So give it a go, and remember to tune in correctly before search... It takes littel time, as the Sens is littel low in standard and also GB is..
I look forward to hear what you think and if you like..

With a "motion" program, if you stop dead over the top of a target the tone goes and you won't hear it.
With a "non motion" program you will still hear it.
In other words, the coil don't need to be moving to hear the targets

Nope two systems.. The motion and the Non motion... The XP DEUS is a Motion detector that can do Non Motion.. Most Detectors these days are Motion.. But some like the CS 1220 is a non motion.. That means you still get a signal, even the coil is not in movement - Just like your GPP.. (Garrett Pro Pointer) the motion ones will go silence when not moved... Hope this was correct and made any sence..
