Hi,
Please does anyone know why the Deus charger, and 3 way lead so expensive £38.95p surely a USB UK AC plug with with an input of a 100-240volts, 50khz/60khz ,0.2amp, output of 5 volts ---------- 1amp. would be just as good, and a and certainly a lot cheaper.
Also a 3 way mini USB lead is very expensive, Is there alternatives?
Is it because of demand that regulates such high prices.
Regards
Colin

Hi Colgoldlyn77, Making accessories unnecessarily complicated, often ensures a 'Captive Customer Base', well that's always been my view (otherwise known as 'trying it on'). It looks like John's reply is definitely worth further consideration. There's usually a suitable alternative somewhere without compromising safety/equipment damage factors.
As usual, a helpful post from Danzigman

I tend to agree with Col. A general purpose USB mains adaptor should be OK, you can get things like that at car boot sales for 50p, and standard to mini USB cables. Just charge the individual parts one at a time, or use 2 mains adapters, maybe? I'm not sure about the split cable, might those dirt cheap USB 4-port hubs be useable, I'm sure the 5 Volt and Ground wires just go straight through them, or maybe through a thermal fuse etc.

Hi there.
Made my own by cutting open three usb cables I had spare and soldering them all together and then using insulation tape. Works fine.
I think basic single cables are about £1 each tops. Maybe less if your lucky. I bet the 3 way ones that are made for XP cost less than a pound each from china to make. lol
