CTX 3030 - I've gone and done it.

Post by Nickinstick »

I ordered my CTX 3030 from Crawfords yesterday! After much soul searching and without even plucking up the courage to run it past the wife first I just got on with it and it felt damn good!

I've had an Etrac for a year and found enough hammereds and other great coins and artifacts to be hooked and had alot fun and pleasure detecting. It's been a difficult few years so I thought I deserved a present, complete with 17" coil! It arrives today, but the wife is at home, fingers crossed she doesn't just send it back x;

Hoping that the transition will be fairly quick as already running the Etrac in manual and have a pretty good knowledge of the Etrac.

HH from a very excited Nickinstick ::g :D

Well done, you've done it, most regrets in life are NOT having done something!
Upwards and onwards, I'm sure the learning curve with the new machine will be shallow.

Well done. If you know what time it's being delivered you could always send the wife out with a few quid to do some shopping. By the time she returns you could have it safely stowed in your man room/garage /shed and she'll never know lol. ::g

Well done ! Best advice I had was keep it "low and slow". Once I'd mastered that it never fails to deliver ::g

Thanks all, can't wait to get out and use it.

Funnily enough the CTX turned up the same day as the wife's new wellies and a bargain new VAX hoover I bought her for £45! Needless to say she was over the moon with her surprise gift x;

And she gave me the cold shoulder in bed later, talk about ungrateful :D

Congratulations on your new machine. Like you I upgraded from the E Trac to the CTX about 3 years ago. Good luck and may the gods grant you many finds.
