Mines giving me the hump too. My DB's one is also doing it.
I think they're busted as I know I've dropped mine on concrete and he reckons he's bashed his too.
I think I remember reading that there's a carbon rod in the pointy end which is quite fragile.
I never rated the thing before it started messing about so I'm going to replace it as soon as I can find a good one
