Can you detect Penarth Beach? Only asking as I see it is not on the Crown Eatate map, although to both the east and west of the town are.

As talking South Wales has anybody got any favourite beaches in that area, or advice on the ones to avoid!.

Just because a beach isnt covered by the crown estate it doesnt mean you cant detect it, I recall sending an email to the local council office when i was down there, and they said it was fine. loads of people from the Cardiff scan club have detected there for years.

I'm getting an at pro international spent all week looking up which one in my price range and that one ticked all the boxes for me, hope I made the right decision.

Thanks oldartefact,
I fully appreciate that some councils allow deteting on the beaches ::g ,
but I also know that some do not ;;z

I also knew it would be much quicker to get a response on here than to find out the contact details for the council and await a reply from them to an e-mail, hence the question on here.

I started with a Garrett Ace 250, like a lot did / do, and was very pleased with it and it represented great value which seems to be a common view about all of the Garrett range.

I know a few that use the AT Pro and it certainly produces the goods.

Have you seen the official AT Pro international site -
http://www.garrett.com/hobbysite/hbby_a ... in_en.aspx
At the bottom of the page it has some links to videos which will help you.
