Just because a beach isnt covered by the crown estate it doesnt mean you cant detect it, I recall sending an email to the local council office when i was down there, and they said it was fine. loads of people from the Cardiff scan club have detected there for years.Saffron wrote:Welcome to the forum Scott, you will get losts of good advice and help with IDs on your finds.

I fully appreciate that some councils allow deteting on the beaches

but I also know that some do not

I also knew it would be much quicker to get a response on here than to find out the contact details for the council and await a reply from them to an e-mail, hence the question on here.

I started with a Garrett Ace 250, like a lot did / do, and was very pleased with it and it represented great value which seems to be a common view about all of the Garrett range.scottyt1986 wrote:I'm getting an at pro international spent all week looking up which one in my price range and that one ticked all the boxes for me, hope I made the right decision.
I know a few that use the AT Pro and it certainly produces the goods.
Have you seen the official AT Pro international site -

At the bottom of the page it has some links to videos which will help you.
