Afternoon on the Beach

Post by Indy »

Just spent a very nice four hours on the beach. The tide was out, the weather was good, panoramic views of the Isle of Wight, the beach cafe did a tasty hot dog and cuppa, two beach strollers stopped for a chat, not a horse in sight, what more could you want.
Oh yes, the finds. I dug 36 holes and found the following stuff:

Lumps of metal x 2
11cm bit of iron x 1
Silver foil x 1
Spoons x 2
Small bits of metal x 10
Ring pulls x 6
Bits of copper wire x 3
Modern coins - 2p x 1. 5p x 1. 1p x 6. 20p x 1.
Holes abandoned due to excessive depth x 2.
:D

well done, those you didn't dig enough, will be on your mind forever now :D
Real treasure lies not in what that can be seen, but what that cannot be seen.
