That’s interesting. Definitely deliberately shaped and part of something but what ? I haven’t a clue. Has it got a pattern on one side. Not very clear. I think I can see a stags head
Items like that I find fascinating. Probably never know what, where or who though. Keep it with the other I don’t knows. An ID might suddenly pop up one day.

It seems to have a little heart at one end, so I’ve hidden it where only my girlfriend and I knkw🥰

Old romantic, but rubbish at finding artifacts!

I knew that item looked familiar - could be garden path edging too, although agree most likely to be part of a roof ridge tile ::g

The other thing it may of come from is a fancy chimney pot. A lot of those had like a "crown" design around the top rim with either points or rounded tips. If this was found at East Mersea it could have come from anywhere because there has been a lot of infill along the coastline at East Mersea over the years using rubble bought in by lorry.

Good effort👏👍

The two bits were from a field near me in Bishops stortford....the hypocaust that I discarded was Mersea Island.
Because it seems to have a heart on it though, its been stashed on our dog walk route for us to see only😉

Ill still always keep my eyes peeled for things that look 'out of place' though.....!
So expect some more insignificant finds! rl;
