Looking for a Suffolk Buddy after we get the All Clear

Post by Scope4Fun »

Hi Everyone. I hope you are all keeping safe in this mad world of ours. Lets look forward to getting out there soon. ::g Is there anyone living locally to Beccles in Suffolk who would like to meet up for the odd trip out. I have just returned to the hobby after a long delay and have a lot to learn about these modern detectors but I have a brand new shiny Simplex + which I managed to take to Kessingland beach for a few hours to familiarise myself with the machine just before the Virus lockdown. I am mid 50's and can travel, sadly I have no land permissions yet but it's early days. I am semi retired so can be quite flexible regarding time and days. I am keen on learning more about the hobby and also in identifying any finds from an historical point of view but I also just enjoy the fresh air either at the beach or in the countryside. If anyone is wanting to meet up or are able to give me a few pointers it would be much appreciated. Now off to put a clear screen protector over the Simplex screen to hopefully keep it scratch free. Once again KEEP SAFE [:) Regards. Gary
