Minelab Profind Pinpointer

Post by jfb »

Hi using the profind pointer on the beach when target is still in the water the pointer gives a signal as soon as it touches the water not on the target is this normal. As if the water is extending the range.

hi jfb. I am no expert but have you tried touching the pin pointer on the surface of the water then knocking back the gain until the tone stops? It might detect it then.

I wonder if its the same as the pro pointer where in some condition you have to switch on touching the water to recalibrate
